Last week I mentioned the inspirational words of Lupita Nyong’o at the 2014 Oscars ceremony. This week I’m going with two very simple quotes.
The first goes like this:
The past is just a story we tell ourselves.
A gentle reminder that history is more than just facts. It’s facts put together, stories we tell to make sense of things.
The second is:

Words to make every married or committed couple’s skin crawl, and yet so true – as true as the storm that ravages and replenishes the land at the same time.
