On today’s fat, mushy, entitled kids, with a little healthy fat-shaming to go with, here’s a great set of rants from Bill Burr, delivered with disarming honesty.
Before you watch the video, let me say this (in full agreement with dear belligerent Bill): Damn you modern psychology, you smart-ass finger behind which people hide, you, legitimizing weakness and dysfunction. Shut your conceited mouth and let kids strive for their perks, like we did, back in the day when screwing up came with accountability, not a pat on the back and a thousand awwws!
Which is why Bill Burr is ace in my books. One among a small but growing number of comedians who aren’t buying into this sorry state of affairs, Burr gives the politically correct state the finger, the boot and, most crucially, the stand-up it deserves.
And it’s the same with entitled adults as it is with kids — though you wouldn’t know it if you listened to the experts — and it’s the same with entitled sectors, ideologies, countries and nations, which resort to citing human rights and racism whenever they’re called out for their transgressions.
Ouch! The truth hurts.
