American film director and cinematographer Ron Fricke has worked on numerous projects dealing with the Earth, nature, society and humanity. First inspired by the film Koyaanisqatsi, by Godfrey Reggio, on which he worked as director of photography, Fricke went on to make a number of films that involved no narrative, just spectacular shots that speak volumes.
