11 November. Remembrance Day.. Armistice Day..
ARMISTICE Day!
As in, the day when the world laid down its arms and declared peace.
Something to keep in mind, just so we remember to celebrate peace, not war.
For our war celebrations and our homage to those who fought and killed and died for something grand and revered, there are other dates, way more suited to those occasions, and plenty to choose from.
In other words, it’s unfortunate that 11/11 also became Veterans Day.
Veterans deserve an anniversary of their own.
Let’s not conflate Armistice Day with it.
